The Grape Committee, re-launched in July 2022, now represents more than 80% of the export volume and aims to reverse the situation of the Chilean grape industry. After having been the engine of Chilean fruit growing, the sector is adapting to the new global reality. In the 23-24 season, 62% of the grapes were new varieties; the goal is to reach more than 70% by 2026. In addition, it is necessary to start working together with all members of the value chain to increase the demand for grapes worldwide. The committee is driving strategies that promote its competitiveness and sustainability. Through innovation, collaboration and a focus on quality, it seeks to strengthen its position in international markets, benefiting all players in the sector and revitalizing the category.
