Phytosanitary Programs

One of the matters of special relevance for Frutas de Chile and the industry in general, is related to the tripartite administration of various international phytosanitary agreements, which is carried out through a joint work with the Agriculture and Livestock Service (SAG) and different foreign phytosanitary agencies.
These agreements have as main objective to facilitate the entry of our fruits to the markets, thus allowing an expeditious access to the more than 100 countries to which our fruit arrives.
We highlight the following agreements:
U.S.A. : SAG-USDA/APHIS-ASOEX Agreement
Mexico : SAG-DSGV-ASOEX Agreement

We should also mention that together with our authorities, we are visited by authorities from different international phytosanitary agencies, whose purpose is to verify in the field the phytosanitary and productive conditions of the country and thus keep the markets open for our products. Among the countries that visit us periodically are: P.R. China, Taiwan, Thailand, Russian Federation, Vietnam, India, Peru, Colombia and Costa Rica.
All the aforementioned activities are financed by the private sector through Frutas de Chile, for which the value of the respective membership fee are set each season by the Annual Members' Meeting.
