Ingredients
- 4 slice of bread, lightly toasted
- 4 Chilean navel oranges
- ½ cup soft ricotta
- Sea salt
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- For garnish: honey, fresh thyme leaves and sea salt flakes
Directions
- Preheat broiler.
- Cut peel from oranges, then slice orange flesh into thin pinwheels. Set aside.
- Slather ricotta onto your lightly toasted slice of bread.
- Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the ricotta.
- Top ricotta with orange slices.
- Sprinkle sugar over orange.
- Place prepared toasts under the broiler, and broil until the citrus gets juicy and caramelized.
- Remove toast from broiler.
- Top toast with a drizzle of honey, a few thyme leaves, and sea salt flakes.
- Eat right away.
