Ingredients
1st layer:
- 1/2 cup pitted Chilean Cherries (liquid removed)
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
2nd & 3rd layer:
- 1/2 cup whole oats
- 3/4 cup coconut or nut milk
- 2 teaspoons chia seeds
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1/4 cup Chilean cherries, smashed and sliced
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
topping:
- vanilla yogurt
- cacao nibs
- whole cherries
Directions
- In a small bowl, smash 1/2 cup cherries and maple syrup with the back of a fork. Put the first layer into a 8-12 ounce jar.
- Mix together oats, nut milk, chia seeds and protein powder. Divide the mixture in half, and to one of the halves, stir in the cherries and cocoa powder.
- Add the chocolate layer into the jar on top of the cherries. Then add the vanilla layer on top of the chocolate. Top oat jar with a scoop of vanilla yogurt, dark chocolate chips, cacao nibs, and more cherries if desired.
- Refrigerate overnight. Enjoy a nutritious breakfast in the morning!
